Advantages of CerMark LMM-6000
CerMark LMM-6000 is a premium laser marking material designed for creating permanent, high-contrast black marks on metal surfaces. Its marks are exceptionally durable, resistant to abrasion, heat, and chemicals, ensuring long-term readability. Unlike engraving, it bonds to the surface without removing material, preserving part integrity. Versatile and efficient, it works on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, and more, while requiring only a thin coating. Ideal for barcodes, serial numbers, and logos, LMM-6000 delivers clarity, permanence, and reliability across demanding industries.
Use and Preparation of CerMark LMM-6000 (Paste Form)
CerMark LMM-6000 in paste form is designed to be diluted before application. The recommended diluent is denatured alcohol (ethanol), although distilled water may also be used if necessary. Alcohol is preferred, as it provides faster drying and a smoother coating. To prepare the mixture, place a measured portion of the paste into a clean container and add approximately two to three parts of alcohol for every one part of paste. Stir thoroughly until the product reaches a thin, paint-like consistency suitable for spraying or brushing. If the mixture appears too thick, additional small amounts of alcohol can be added until the desired viscosity is achieved.
Once prepared, the coating should be applied evenly to a clean, grease-free metal surface using a spray gun, airbrush, or brush. The coating must be allowed to dry completely before laser processing. During marking, the laser fuses the CerMark material into the substrate, producing a dark, permanent, and highly durable mark. After the marking process is complete, any unbonded coating can be removed easily with water, leaving only the fused mark on the surface.
